Make it real.by ~mooray

Traditional Art / Drawings / Surreal

After the good advice from one of my friend's, who said he was getting bored of some of my latest sketches, I decided that I had become lazy and needed to spend more time on an artwork. This drawing returns me to my roots. It is also rather large by my standards (40x70cm I think).

I don't usually give descriptions of my drawing but I'll throw some phrases out there.

Firstly:
I admire Peter Paul Rubens. I was able to see many of his paintings at the Alte Pinakothek in Munich. Rubens had a gorgeous wife, Isabella. The face in the left is derived from "Rubens and Isabella Brant in the Honeysuckle Pergola.

Mostly:
Trying to grab a hold of that which is always imagined in an attempt to make it real.

Had to fav this. Like your work, especially the drawings.Rubens was my first favorite figurative artist. The boot reminds me of Andrew Wyeth's style; very nice.
